The coco substrate has an optimal water-air ratio, which ensures ideal growing conditions in professional cultivation. Coco also naturally contains a special fungus (Trichoderma) that protects plants from soil-borne diseases. Watering
Manual: water daily, adding a specific coco fertiliser.
Pot size: at least 4 litres: if daily watering is not possible, sufficiently large pots must be used.
Automatic: 4-6 times a day, adding a specific coco fertiliser.
Consumption
Give the plant about 5 litres of nutrient solution per m2 per day (for mature plants). Place larger plants in pots with a volume of at least 5 litres. The larger the pots, the more constant the conditions in the root zone. Ensure sufficient drainage, i.e. adequate drainage holes, and if necessary fill the bottom of the pot with expanded clay to ensure better aeration and drainage.
