Canna Start – Fertiliser for seedlings and cuttings (1 L / 5 L)
Specific fertiliser for seedlings and rooted cuttings
Canna Start
- The right start for seedlings and cuttings
- Reduces the risk of overfeeding
- Reduces the risk of the plant yellowing
- Complete one-part nutrient
Seeds
Seeds do not need nutrients to germinate: they already contain enough food for the first week of germination in the substrate. For fast germination, water must be absorbed quickly by the seed coat. This is made possible by the fine fibrous structure and the fact that Seedmix contains no fertiliser. The result: more seeds germinate. After germination the seed has become a seedling and needs nutrients. If these are not supplied, the plant becomes too weak, discolours and may even die of nutrient deficiency.
Cuttings
Unrooted cuttings absorb water in the first few days, just like a cut flower. The water must be easy to absorb, just like the water in a flower vase. Thanks to its fine fibrous structure, CANNA Terra Seedmix releases water to the cutting without any problem. In addition, Seedmix contains no fertiliser. Once the cutting has rooted, it needs nutrients straight away. If these are not supplied, the cutting becomes too weak, discolours and may even die of nutrient deficiency.
CANNA Start is the optimal nutrient for seedlings and rooted cuttings.
CANNA Start
CANNA Start is a complete nutrient developed specifically for feeding young rooted plants (seedlings and cuttings). It can be used on all substrates, in particular CANNA Terra Seedmix and rockwool slabs.
CANNA Start is a vegetative nutrient, meaning it is suitable for the plant's growth phase. CANNA Start contains nutrients and trace elements that are important for raising young plants and are not found in other nutrient products.
The concentration has also been reduced so that all the elements can fit in a single bottle without any problem. The product is designed so that no deposits can form in the bottle.
Seedling
A seed germinates best when the substrate contains no nutrients. CANNA Terra Seedmix and rockwool slabs contain no nutrients. We recommend using CANNA Start after germination and the appearance of the first true leaves.
Cutting
An unrooted cutting dries out more slowly and roots faster if the substrate contains no nutrients. We recommend using CANNA Start as soon as the first roots have formed.
Seedlings and rooted cuttings become more vigorous when they receive nutrients. The result is green, glossy leaves. After the first raising phase, the plants can be repotted. For this you can use CANNA Hydro Vega (on rockwool slabs), CANNA Aqua Vega (water culture) or CANNA Terra Vega (soil).
For a good start and an excellent result!
Directions for use
- Shake the bottle well before use
- Fill the nutrient solution tank with water
- Mix 40 ml of concentrate with 10 litres of water (1:250)
- The EC of CANNA Start dissolved in tap water ranges between 0.7 and 1.3 mS depending on water hardness (= EC of the solution + EC of the water)
- Recommended pH: 5.2 – 6.2
- Ensure sufficient drainage (~10%)
Further information
- CANNA Start has been developed specifically for the phase before repotting
- Store frost-free in a dark, safe place
- Keep out of the reach of children
Guarantee
CANNA uses only high-quality nutrients and chelates that are directly and fully available to the plant. The packaging is made of 100% polyethylene (free of PVC and cadmium), an easily biodegradable and reusable plastic.
Available sizes: 1 L, 5 L.
