Gro.w.LaB EU – direct shipping from the European Union

Gro.w.LaB EU is our direct supply channel from the European Union: a much wider range of brands and items, shipped to your address in Switzerland directly from our European partner's warehouse, without passing through our shop. You order and pay Gro.w.LaB in francs, as always; the goods are dispatched from the EU.

How it works

• Order and payment on Gro.w.LaB, in CHF, with the usual payment methods. The invoice is issued by Gro.w.LaB.
• Direct shipping from the European Union by express courier, in an unmarked parcel. Estimated delivery: 3–5 working days from order confirmation.
• Prices exclude VAT. EU channel prices are shown without Swiss VAT, because VAT is collected on import (see below).
• Price in CHF at the daily exchange rate. Prices are calculated from the euro price list and converted at the current EUR/CHF rate, so they may vary slightly from one day to the next.

What you pay on delivery

As this is an import from the European Union, the courier will ask you on delivery for:

• Swiss VAT at 8.1 %, calculated on the value of the goods plus transport;
• the courier's customs clearance fees (approximately CHF 10–25 per shipment, depending on the courier);
• customs duties: as a rule none, as Switzerland abolished duties on industrial products in 2024.

For low-value orders (approximately up to CHF 60 of goods) import VAT is not collected. These amounts are paid directly to the courier and are not included in the Gro.w.LaB price.

When it makes sense

The EU channel is designed for items that are not available in Switzerland or that you prefer to receive directly from the European supplier: grow tents, lighting, air treatment, hydroponic systems, growing media, fertilisers, measuring instruments, harvesting and drying equipment. If the same item is available in our CH Catalogue, you will find it there with shipping from Switzerland and VAT included.

What we do not ship through this channel

Insecticides, fungicides and other plant protection products: in Switzerland they require specific approval and cannot be freely imported. For these items, please use our CH Catalogue.

Returns and warranty

The manufacturer's warranty and Gro.w.LaB support also apply to EU channel items. For returns, please contact us before sending anything back: we will give you the return address and procedure, as the parcel must not be sent back to the Swiss warehouse.
